As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I couldn't help but be captivated by the rave reviews from patrons. Diners like Ted Kim share stories of fantastic pizza experiences, highlighting the friendly staff and the oversized, mouthwatering pizzas that leave you wanting more. This isn’t just a meal; it’s an adventure that satisfies the palate and tugs at the heartstrings, especially with their option for gluten-free crust—an essential for those with celiac disease or gluten sensitivities, as noted by many satisfied customers like Brent Stringham.
One standout dish that caught my attention is the Pavarotti pizza. Reviewers have praised its soft, fresh, and tangy sourdough crust which is perfectly balanced with the right amount of sauce—just enough to keep it moist without overwhelming the palate. The craftsmanship displayed here speaks volumes about the care that goes into each pizza creation, whether you're indulging in a classic or exploring more unique toppings.
Furthermore, Farina Roma doesn’t stop with pizza; the menu also boasts impressive dishes like the pesto pasta and a delectable roasted beet and burrata salad. The combination of flavors and textures offers a comforting and satisfying meal that appeals to both adults and children alike. Even the dessert, while critiqued by some for being a tad dense, showcases a commitment to homemade flavors and quality.
As you enjoy your meal, you'll find the ambiance to be a perfect blend of cozy and vibrant—a setting that enhances your dining experience. The attentive service ensures that each visit feels special, as reviewers like Andreea Francu pointed out, making it an ideal spot for families and casual dinners alike.
In summary, Farina Roma is more than just an Italian restaurant; it’s a celebration of great food, friendly service, and a gathering place for those who appreciate the art of Italian cuisine. Whether you're dining solo or with loved ones, this spot is truly a hidden gem worth discovering in the bustling streets of Ciudad de México.
“ Came for dinner during my stay in Roma and had a fantastic experience. Friendly staff and delicious pizza. The pizza was larger than I expected and could barely finish the whole thing - come hungry! This restaurant also offers gluten free crust for those with celiac or are sensitive to gluten. ”
“ There’s a few of these around town, but this is the first one I’ve visited. Popped in on a rainy night to try the pizza. I had the Pavarotti. I’m pretty hard judging pizza, but this was quite good. Soft, fresh, tangy sourdough crust with just enough sauce on the center to be wet but properly baked. Great job on the construction and the baking! I followed with the fig cake and ice cream. Good flavors but a bit dense and dry. After that positive experience, I visited a week later for the salmon. Started with the roasted beet and burrata and they were great, especially with the fresh greens to balance. I was asked if I’d like some focaccia. I assumed it was some small pieces on the house but I was surprised when a healthy portion appeared right out of the oven. That would’ve been a fine and complete dinner, however my salmon was soon to arrive. When it appeared, it was oven baked, skin on. I had been asked how I wanted it cooked and caught off guard, I said medium. It was cooked to order but I should have asked for rare with a sear. No fault of the staff. Nonetheless, it was a good portion and well prepared. Can recommend. No dessert that time! Both visits I had some difficulty matching a wine as either they were out or just limited in types by the glass. That’s the only recommendation I can make is to add a greater variety of wines by the glass. I’m looking forward to trying some other vegetable dishes on the menu. Service was good. There are high tops and regular tables available, along with some limited outside seating. I think they had an English menu, but don’t remember. ”
“ Such a cozy little Italian spot — perfect for a casual dinner with great flavors. The pesto pasta was absolutely spectacular, and the pizza was super tasty too. The space is small, which adds to its charm. Definitely a hidden gem worth trying if you’re into authentic, comforting Italian food. ”
“ Jorge was a great server, he helped me greatly when I let him know that I have Celiac. The GF pizza dough is tremendously good. I rarely use that word. It was fluffy and crispy; maybe it had something to do with the wood fired pizza oven? Couldn’t recommend the GF pizza more. ”
“ Had dinner here because I thought Italian would be a sure pick for my kids who are picky eaters. But I was in for a treat, the food here is delicious and I enjoyed the dining experience every bit as my kids. The kids had pasta and cleaned their plates, my friend and I had pizza and drinks and we all shared desert. Service was fast and courteous, the atmosphere quite nice. Recommended, I would eat here again if I lived in the neighborhood. ”
“ What a find! We were looking for gluten free pizza... and farina’s is among the best we’ve ever had! Cocktails and wine were delicious as well... and the service was excellent!! Sad that we are leaving tomorrow... we would come back! Next time! ”
“ Favorite atmosphere of the restaurants I dined at in Mexico City. Also, hands down the best gluten free pizza crust I have ever tried. Everything was totally delicious ”
“ We were taken great care of! The pizza was phenomenal, very good balance of toppings and well developed crust. Would definitely love to come back here, and it’s such a central location! ”
